Season Information
Q. What is the procedure for rain-outs and cancellations?
A. If your game or practice is taking places at the Blue Ash Sports Center (Grooms Field), you can contact the Field Condition Line at 230-5162 to get up to date information regarding the status of the fields. We will also attempt to put this information on the upper right corner of our web site. However, we have no automatic link to this information and our Webmaster is simply calling the number to update the web site. If your game or practice is at any other SBSA field, it is the responsibility of the head coach to communicate the status of the field to his/her team. If it is a game situation, the head coach of the home team should make this determination and contact the head coach of the away team.
Q. Can I get more up-to-date standings for the league our team is playing in?
A. We typically post league standings on a weekly basis as soon as we receive the updated standings from the District coordinator? For the D-1 and D-2 Sycamore only leagues, we are going to try and have the coaches of these teams post game scores directly to our web site this year to help speed up the process. However, for teams playing outside the Sycamore community (i.e. C-1 and higher), we can only post standings when we receive them from the Knothole district coordinator.
Q. Is it possible to have a more up-to-date schedule for our team on the web site?
A. Yes. As with the standings, we are going to "open up" some web site functionality to coaches this year so that they can update their own game schedules.
Q. What is being done to improve field conditions at several area fields?
A. We have heard the feedback from both coaches and parents regarding poor field conditions at certain fields that SBSA uses mainly for practices. The SBSA Board is working this off-season to put together a comprehensive plan to help maintain fields such as Greene, MapleDale, and other non-City fields so that teams have a better experience this upcoming season.
Q. I am having an issue with my coach that I cannot work out, what should I do?
A. Go to the SBSA Board tab at the top of the web site and find the coordinator for your league. Feel free to contact your league coordinator with any concerns you might have.
Q. I don't see directions to a field we are playing at outside of Sycamore? Can we get these put on the web site?
A. Our Webmaster has taken time to update the Away Field Directions tab with as many game locations as possible. However, we cannot keep track of all the locations that Sycamore teams are playing at. Please help us out and email our Webmaster with a new field location so that future teams may benefit from this feature:
