8 & Under
The 8 & Under league will be a coach pitch league using a smaller/softer ball. Note that up through 3rd grade, kids have a choice of playing in one of the Community Baseball leagues outlined on our Baseball Leagues page. For those concerned about the transition to Fast Pitch, it will help to know that the 10 & Under and 12 & Under leagues are more of a "flat pitch" than a "fast pitch" league.

As a member of the Soutwhest Ohio Girls Fast Pitch Association, SBSA offers two divisions of play within Fast Pitch. The "A" division is for those who want to play against higher-skilled players and are targeting playing in Junior and Senior High School. The "B" division is for players whose interests and abilities fit better in a less competitive atmosphere. "A" teams will only be fielded if enough registered players indicate a desire for "A" level play.
Additionally, this year SBSA will be participating in a competitive cooperative with 2 other communities. These competitive 12U and 14U teams will play 2 tournaments following league play. It may also continue into Fall Ball based on interest. It will require a commitment of additional practice time, weekend games, and fees. This is targeted for players that want to seek the highest level of completition, but are unable to commit the funds or time to pursue a private team. Selection is limited and will be based on the player's ability to commit the time as well as a talent evaluation.
