Sycamore Baseball will conduct a skills evaluation session for all players that have interest and the skills to play on a competitive baseball team. If your son is an excellent baseball player and you live in the Sycamore School District and he is entering the 5th or 6th grade then we'd like him to attend this session.
Please note that this skills session is only open to players who will participate on a 5th grade team (11U & under/C Level) and 6th grade team (12U & under/B Level). Players interested in joining an older Sycamore team should contact Andy Fredette at
. You will be directed to the coaches of these teams for individual evaluations.
When: Saturday, June 27-1:00-3:00 PM.
Registration begins 15 minutes prior to evaluation start time at Field 4. Players should wear their current uniform to evaluations (names are helpful) A parent/guardian needs to sign the registration form. Aspiring pitchers and catchers may be asked to stay later so these skill positions can be evaluated separately. Click
here to download the form, fill out and bring to the evaluation.
Additional Evaluations will be scheduled for Saturday, July 25 and if needed, Saturday, August 1. Please contact Andy Fredette at the above email address if you cannot attend any of these sessions.
Where: Blue Ash Sports Complex Grooms Road Phone 230-5162 in case of bad weather.
More Information: These competitive teams will play a 25-30 game schedule against competition from around the Cincinnati and Northern Ky. Area. Additional tournament play is also possible.
Evaluations will be conducted by league representatives and independent evaluators selected by the Sycamore Baseball Board.
The speed of the evaluation will depend on how many baseball players show up. Again, we are looking for highly skilled players and you must live in the Sycamore School District. Depending on the number of players we may be able to get through the evaluations more quickly and we will get the boys through all the evaluations as quickly as possible. Teams will be determined in August and we'll ask parents to commit their son to the team with a nonrefundable deposit of $200 made out to SBSA. Total season cost will be between $400-500.
